ITechGirlsAn Initiative

We plan to host a twelve hour hackathon during late August or early September, for fifty middle school girls, which will include workshops that enable the attendees to build basic web pages, and will allow the attendees to take part in competitions, promoting competitive spirit, which will drive students to continue learning more advanced programming skills to enhance their projects. The hackathon is an integral part of the ITechGirls project, because it introduces students to tech culture as well as shows students a way to continue programming even after the end of class.
